code p0148 still!

I have had This code pop up when i tow, or extended wot up hill. I thought it was due to the factory lift pump. WRONG. I just installed the fass 95 2 weeks ago. so today i installed the tst boost control elbow and whent for a test drive. i have about 2k in tools, parts ect in the truck every day, so I test on a steep hill and punch it to see how high the boost will go ( it went from 27 to 29 I thought it would be higher) and the check engine lite went of again!(p0148, again). Any ideas?

i had the same code. when the check engine light came on the injectors were very noisy. i was towing also. i unhooked my ramifier and re-installed it. truck was back to normal. check your connections on the fuel amd map sensor ports. maybe ones loose? when i got home i put some dieletric grease on the connections. i hauled a 9000# load back from upstate new york yesterday(460miles round trip through the mountains) and truck ran great. check your connections... . james

Thanks I will try that again. ( as I did before). The ramifirer I have has the dash mounted dial, to adjust from stock to full power. I just remembered that during my test I was turning the dial to see what that would do to the boost psi. When I tow I also do this to try to keep the egts down.

I will call ts today and see what they think.

Ok, I spoke to ts ( very helpfull by the way!) they were not sure if the dial change could be the problem or not. But said to send it in and they would check it out.

I don't have a fuel psi guage on the lift pump yet, so I dont know if the psi is dropping to low or not. I thought I would install one first just to make sure that is not the problem. I currently have the 3 a pillar gauge setup(turbo,egt, trans) where should I put the fuel guage? Im sure someone has done this. Thanks

you can get the on dash pods as well. i think they make one that is for two at the least, maybe time for a real oil pressure gauge as well. then slide them over next to the pillar to see all at one spot.

I put my trans temp gauge in the dash where the cig lighter goes, fits nice. Pics are in my gallery.

so what did you find was causing the code. 2 time i got the same code both times i was towing somthing. one time i lost alot of power when the code came on. barely do 40mph and blew a little white smoke. by the time i get an appointment at dealer the light goes off and they cant fix anything. so let me know what your fix was.
