Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code P0253

Over the last 3 or 4 months the engine light as come on. The code it is showing is P0253 Drivability is fine and the engine light goes out after so many starts/shutdowns, usually a day or two. Is this anything to worry about? Is the VP44 dying? I tried installing Bosch 275's a few weeks ago (they were new) and the truck would not fire up. Put stock injectors back in and truck run fine. One response I got on here over that issue suggested the pump may not be providing enough pressure to pop off those bigger injectors.



What do you guys think?

that is definately a vp44 issue, 0253 is an open circuit detected within the pump.

FYI, I was getting the P0253 code when my ground for the Edge Comp wasn't grounded well enough, but I aslo had a little stumble. I ran the ground directly to the battery and the stumble and the code have since never come back.
