Just got the truck back from having the CO2 recall done, took dealer over 2 hours to get the truck to start again:{ now I get the code P0633 on the odometer. Does any know what this code is for? Did a search and could not find it. Thanks to all who reply.

P0633= Skim key not programed in PCM. I suspect your truck does not have SKIM, or it would start and die.

Sag2, thanks. Is skim key the special key needed to start the truck, the key with the chip in it? I do have that security feature on my truck. I will try to start my truck with an extra key (no Chip) and see if the engine cuts out. I assume it would have to go back to the dealer to get the key re programed into the pcm?

Thanks again. Pete

I tried the above, with the extra key the truck would crank, but NOT START, the truck will only start with the special key. My next question is how do I clear the code? Can I do it without doing more harm than good? Do I need to go back to the dealer? My dealers service department never does anything while I wait, I always have to leave the truck for the entire day, get a ride to and from work etc. I guess that's why after re-programing they could not get it started. I thank you for your time, Pete

Sounds like the dealer did not program the SKIM when he did the flash. The book says three good trips should clear the code. If you have three good trips, your only choice is to have the dealer program the PCM. It SHOULD only take them a few minutes to do it.
