Did a search and couldnt find anything on it. My 04 threw a check engine w/3 codes

P2149= ?

P0336= crank pos. sensor

P0606= pcm fault.

I think the tst caused the bottom two but whats the P2149 mean :confused:

Thanks.

Here is text from Diag Manual;

Symptom:

P2149-BANK 2 (CYLINDERS 4-6) SHORTED HIGH OR LOW

When Monitored and Set Condition:

P2149-BANK 2 (CYLINDERS 4-6) SHORTED HIGH OR LOW

When Monitored: While the engine is running.

Set Condition: A misfire detected at cylinders 4,5, or 6 or any combination of cylinders

4,5, or 6.

I used to get a 2149 on my 05 when i had the edge juice. Every time it threw it, I called edge they sent me a new box. (Happened like 5 times) Thats the main reason I switched to a TST. The only code I get now is 0336 and it only occurs when I'm in 6th idling through town and drive at exactly 1200 rpm for over about a second. I started down shifting and no more 0336.

Re-seat all of the injector sensors and make sure that they are pushed ALL the way in. I agree on the 11 to 1200 rpm miss. If you sit in that range long enough you will get a miss. Sometimes it's so small it almost can't be felt. If you run in that range long enough for it to happen 3 times in succession it will throw a code. Single and double misses don't seem to throw it though.

I have a 2007 5. 9L with 89k miles. I'm getting the P2149 cylinder 4-6 misfire code. I have the Banks ottomind it does not directly communicate with the injectors. The wiring harness appears fine. What else can I do. Today it was intermittent. Please help.
