Just had dtc P2509, I think this means the ECM has low or intermiten voltage. Anyone else have this? Truck runs fine and seems unaffected. 9000mi 8K of them with the edge juice with attitude monitor. I'm afraid to go to the dealer with the edge in, even if I remove it there is still the thermocouple in the manifold to give it away. Any ideas on what I should do... maybe nothing, have had other weird things happen that just went away.

Quoting "betterthanstock" from a previous thread, he says,

"The only important code above is

"P2509 ECM/PCM Power Input Signal Intermittent".

It means you have a corroding contact that supplies power to computer,

a bad ground connection, or you have a wire shorting out. There was a thread on that on DTR about some wires rubbing near the AC compressor throwing all sorts of codes. "

As for the juice I would take it off and go to a hardware store and get a steel 1/8 pipe plug and put it in the manifold. They work fine and are less visable than the thermocoupler, obviously.

you could just run a gage for the egt's

most of the time they will respect the fact that your a keeping an eye on yoru egt's with these trucks

Good thought Genros, that would seem fine unless you dealer is a real jerk. I cleared the code with the edge and it never came back. I did notice the plug in under the dash was hanging a little loose, could this have done it? Anyway all seams fine now.
