This code has to do with Intake Heater.
When you look at it, it has more than one reason as to why the code.
I did notice this morning, everything seemed normal. the coil on the dash was lite and went out. Started the truck and did my errand. Normally when it is cool, I hear a click when the heater engages and the battery gage on the dash will drop way down until there is no draw on the battery.
But, the check engine light is on and still sends code: P2609.

Help in what is causing the problem?

Thank You

the solenoid could have failed. Put a volt meter on the small wires and have someone turn on the key if you have voltage there it's a failed solenoid.

Thank You. I’ll give that a try later this morning. I watched some videos yesterday and pretty much came to solenoid.
Thanks again for your input.
