Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Code Questions

Hello all,

About 3 times in the past few months I had a dead spot when I hit the gas pedal, no power no nothing, just maintained that rpm I was at unless I floored it, or shifted into/out of OD.



Well after reading and searching "dead spots" and "Dead Pedal" I checked my codes by turning the key 3 times and seeing what the odometer readout was.

Here is what I had flash at me in this order:



P PCU

- - - - - -

P 1693

- - - - - -

P Done

- - - - - -

P ECU

- - - - - -

P 0216

- - - - - -

P Done



What do these codes mean? Truck is a 2002 4x4 auto all stock and has 54,600 miles on it.

hate to tell you , but 0216 is injection pump. the other code is a companion code that goes along with most codes. looks like your still under warrenty. find a good dealer an get the pump changed.
