Greetings from Canada:Have a small problem,just occured yesterday. Codes P0234T/SOC Turbo overboost from controller S15.
Following conditions when problem appears :
1- Truck has set overnight ,temperature outside 40 deg. f.
2- When driving will not shift from 3rd. to overdrive.
3- After driven 10 miles and shut off and restarted everything is ok.
I am aware of the thermister that prevents shifting into OD when temperature is below 59deg. F. This has never been a problem with this truck thou the temperatures have been well below freezing.
The boost checked when this condition occures is my normal 22 for non moded truck.
I had another code which I cleared P-1389 no auto shutdown . It has not returned.
My manual points to wastegate problem for the P-234 code I havent had time to check it yet.
Anyone have a similar problem ? Truck has 470,000kms original vp-44.
