Archived Codes for a 2006 CTD

Hi everyone, I am new to the site. I have taken a search through the forum and can't find a way to check codes on a 2006. Is there a way to check like cycling the key? Thanks in advance for any help and sorry if someone has asked this in the past.

You must cycle the key on/off three times then leave it on. The odometer will tell you the codes. Make sure to get the key clear off, it you have the manual gearbox you have to depress the key release button in order to get the key clear "off".

Thanks Frank, I will give it a go. I tried it before but I was not turning the key off all the way. I have a auto trans.

on my 06 the 3 key cycle doesn't work so i bought a code reader that reads can bus ... its easy and tells what the code is and what it means... but to be on the safe side i read the code and double check it with my 06 manual

Works on mine. Try slowing down a little. Might help.

Sorry about that, they were 0513 and 0850 - not 0820 as I had in here before.



Guess that is why my alarm goes off when I open the drivers door with the truck running. And the second is to do with the gear shift position.
