Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Codes P-0123 & P-1597

Pulled these codes yesterday

0123 - Accelerator pedal position sensor signal voltage to high

1597 - Speed control switch always low



Anyone have these codes before and know what the heck they mean and or a fix for them?



I disconnected the batteries for a few minutes and that erased the codes, will they come back?



The truck sat for about 2 weeks without being driven ( I have a company car ) when I started it I got the idiot light to check for codes?

Any help would be appreciated

try disconnecting the batteries for about half hour. reconnect the batteries ,turn key on but dont start the engine, slowly push the accelerator pedal to the floor, then slowly release it . start the engine ,this will reprogram the apps. you may also need to clean all the grounds. hope this helps.
