Codes P0107 & P0073

Anybody know what these are?

was getting ready to eliminate muffler and install some gauges that just came in from Geno's and got a check engine light, wondering if I might have pinched a wire doin the cold air AFE or maybe damaged the sensor for air temp.

0073 Ambient Air temp Sensor Circuit High

0173 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

sounds like you left the intake air temp/press sensor unplugged or loose... or the sensor failed [i had that happen]... that is what is considered the map sensor on our trucks. . the sensor in the manifold is listed as the turbo boost sensor.

I did leave the sensor unplugged (Actually forgot to put it in) but dont remember keying up the truck but it is possibe, I know I didn't start it,After closing the hood I remembered the sensor, The mosquitos were murder.

Truck sounds way better, my system has the steel tube for the torque tube and it sounds like a Pete.

Can the codes be cleared other than with a scan tool?

1) remove airbox

2) Pull the three plugs behind it on firewall. This will clear all codes right away.

3) re install airbox after plugging in plugs.....



This is a sure fire way to clear all codes in the ECM and PCM

Might be easier to take it to Auto Zone if there's one close, they'll clear them for ya.

It may also clear after 3 key on and offs.

i don't follow... ? our air box is right up front behind the rad, not by the firewall???





the codes will clear after a number of keyon/keyoff cycles, so drive it for a month or so and it should clear, or disconnecting the batteries can clear the codes too i believe

Check engine light went off, Guess I did turn key on without the temp sensor hooked up, Codes have cleared too.
