I have a 2004 , 2500 with the 5. 9 ( 305 HP ) and it has 71,450 miles on it .

Yesterday while I was driving home it shut down and it took 2 times to restart it.

Well I found out how to find the codes and I have 3 codes P0628 / P2503 /

P0514

Code P0628 I been told is the transfer pump ?

And P2503 which is the charging system output low is this the Alternator ?

And P0514 Battery Terminal Sensor Performance / Rationality ?

Does this mean it's time for new batteries ?

I got these codes from one of TDR's post and they were for the 2003 Ram .

Also is my 5. 9 a high out put as the ( HP is 305 )?

And does any body ever register their engine with Cummins ?

Thanks for any information I can get .

Thanks

P0514 BAT Temperature Sensor Rationality

These could all be the result of a dying alternator, dying battery, or bad battery connections.

How old are your batteries?

Have you cleaned battery connections lately?

Thanks for the come back and the information

The tech on Just Answers said that P0628 was the fuel transfer pump .

But I did not read the codes until the next mourning .
