Codes- Where to define them? How to Clear them so the stupid engine light goes out? The trucks engine light came on today, showed a P2146

that is a injector code the attitude is setting it off I just let my stay and the engin light will go off after a few times of starting the truck. and the codes will reset. when the light comes on is it really cold outside?

I found that it's pretty much a gaurantee that you'll get 2146 and/or 2149 if you adjust the low boost fueling while you're accelerating. I don't do that anymore. Ever seen a 9K truck try to jump out of its shoes??? Jump, kick, snort, die, limp mode, then go normal. Ick.

SumBich did that again last night. I was trying to turn the "trans setup" to "on" and all hell broke loose. I knew what it was, but it was different. Truck was really struggling for some reason. Then it stars back up and it's balls to the wall. Seems as though the cruise somehow stayed engaged and it wanted to go from 50 or so back up to 70mph RIGHT NOW!!! I'm thinkin' I really nee to put the attitude under the hood so I don't "fiddle" with it anymore.



Anyone want an Attitude. Make me a reasonable offer incl. your switch and it's yours.

This thread is interesting to me. Just pulled with my 04. 5 for the second time in a year and a half. Both times the edge juice with attitude gave me attitude. It has worked flawlessly without a trailer in tow, but both times I have towed it has crapped out on me. No power and p2146 and p2149 codes. The attitude display freezes up and once or twice there was kinda this missing popping noise. Freaky 3rd gen trucks. Might have to hook onto my new travel trailer with with the old 12v. I think edge will be getting a call from me if adjusting the low boost fueling does not improve everything! For what it is worth I adjusted all 5 levels to max fuel at low boost! :-laf

My first code from a chip

I got the 2146 code. Man, scared the crap outa me. . and yes, I was fiddling with things as we are cruising donw I35w for a weekend trip at 80mph. I was on the juice configuration page.



I left it in gear since I was just coasting, no throttle responce. I turned off the cruise, and exited to the main menu on the attitude. After I did all that she back back to life. So I cruised at 70 for a moment and tested out things and rechecked all the guages and put her back on 5, loaded things up and she poured out a line of coal.



Pulled over at the next exit, fired up the laptop, got the code from the dash and was relived it wasn't an issue. I was expecting it to be my lift pump (stock).



That would of shut this trip down real quick.
