Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Codes set, now how do I clear them?

I had a couple codes set and have got everything taken care of, now how do I clear them?? Disconnect the positive battery terminals for a couple minutes or will they go away on there own after a while.

You can either disconnect battery or drive it for a while and the codes will be gone.

Thanks, I'll just drive it and let them go when they do. Wasn't sure if they would go on there own. ~~ DW

Disconecting the battery will not erase the codes,that can only be done using a obd II scaning tool,however if its a soft code the engine lite will go away in 3 engine starts providing the same problem did not repeate itself .
