I removed my sliencer ring about two weeks ago and forgot to plug in my M. A. S. and immeadiately threw on my check engine light and service engine soon light. Also my volt meeter stopped working. Pluged it back in and now no volt meter and check engine light is still on???? Anyone know what codes P 0517 and P 0073 are for???

You have more than the one connection still unpluged. The ambient and battery are in the same loom. Look for another loose connection.

It is my experience (and others on here) that there is a small bug in the ECM programming that causes the occasional "Battery Temp Sensor Rationality" code (I have recieved this code once).

More importantly, when you forgot to plug back in the IAT sensor, you did set a legitimate code. The good news is, after 40 consecutive warmup cycles it will disappear (p0073 and p0513). Don't worry, I don't believe you did any real damage. I don't have an explanation why the voltmeter isn't working, however. I don't have my PDM in front of me now, but I can check it this evening at home.
