how do you find out if you have any codes ,whats the procedure

Is the check engine light on or abs light on? If not then don't worry about it. Either go and buy a hand held scanner or the dealer to pull codes when you have a MIL (malfunction indicator light) that comes on.

Turn the key from off to on, real fast, 3 times. Leave it in the on position. The odometer will display codes is succession. When finished, the odometer will spell DONE.
