Ok my question is how do you look for codes that have come up? I would like to learn how to do this on my 99. It goes to the dealer tommorrow at 2:00 so they can tell me the VP44 is dying:mad: I would like to see what all they should see before they do so I can question them on what they found a little better. Any help is appreciated greatly. My truck is back to bone stock for now except gauges. I hope I can play dumb since I bought the truck used and say it must have been chipped before me. :D Hey it is worth the shot for saving $2000.

Thanks for all help

i know on the 2001 and above you can cycle the ignition switch on/off three times quickly and the odometer will flash PCM codes but the ECM codes require the truck to be connected to a reading device. i don't know if 99's had this feature, i believe it was added in 2k.
