If you get really desperate for Cummins parts, Brewers marina in Mystic is an authorized Cummins marine service center, so is Spicer's in Noank... . They should have common parts like oil filters, gaskets, etc, but they may be gold plated if you know what I mean.



Mystic used to have some decent auto parts stores, but they all closed about 4 years ago... . makes it tough for us boaters when we need parts.

LOL! I found an oops in the Delorum Software that when you are past hartford there is a spot on I 95 that takes a rather SHARP left when heading north. Well the GPS reads you going in the right direction but the map is waaay off in that area (Happened to me 2wice allready) And after that point it does a recalculate and gets so lost it can't complete the process and tells you "off Route" ... Take interstate route I 95 SOUTH to Blah blah street then get on on ramp and get off ... then on ... then off... then on! Basicly a sick circle of on agains and off agains Until the GPS is positioned on the next mapping page the thing just freaks! then out of blinkin nowhere it says ONROUTE :{

Yes, I actually did the loop thing twice while towing that superduty in PA... trying to navigate through sin city billboards and such, putting my trust in the ol' GPS telling me to take an on ramp that wasn't there.



Try this with your Delorme... look up exit 39A off I84... this should be where route 9 starts. If it looks like a pretty flower, they haven't fixed the spoof someone snuck into the data.

Ya, tell me about it, we woke up at 10:30 this morning!



Every Friday would be too much. Should we shoot for every other Friday? Or, 1 Friday a month?

At least one friday a month would be great for me, as I cant make it on tuesdays or thursdays. We had a great time last night!!

Got the beast home with it's load. Not bad, it averaged 19. 4 mpg, calculated. I got to the hotel, and no rooms, went across the street to the Super 8, same story. I thought about it a minute and hit 95S. Ran from truck stop to truck stop, cup of coffee and a walk, and back on the road again. Got home about 7am, WIRED! Next time, it's a sleeping bag in the back for back up or drive back to Mystic and leave in the morning. It was a heck of a lot harder getting that load off, than it was putting it on. If I start doing that too often, I will need an E-brake. I will be back up there, next week. Let me know what day to come down. Probably have a rental instead of the truck, but the coffee's good anyway. We can wrench on somebody elses for a while. Thanks again for all the help.

Glad to hear you made out okay on the way home. 19. 4 is a very nice number for the number of trees you hauled on home! I guess that common rail injection is just that much more efficient.

I agree. People can volunteer their tracking logs so the maps can be updated. I think someone hacked a log and it makes a pretty flower I'd hate to be the poor shmoe that's depending on one of those ramps to be there.
