A guy at work told me about an article he say in a 4 wheel magazine where someone cut a hole in the fire wall of a ram and put and air duct to that for the air filter. Supposedly it's a kit with a new air filter and box. Anyone seen this?
CFAST--Yeah it was in Fourwheeler and the air system is the Scotty II. Call Rod from Wildcat diesel. It has an AFE air filter with a plastic cover that draws air in from the fender and if you cut the whole, also thru the cowl. I heard it works great but it is rather noisy. Mike.
I thought it would make it louder. I'd like the colder air but at the cost of more sound from the turbo isn't worth it. I do like the sound but it splits the occupants heads on long steep hills with a load.
It sounds like a large vacum sucking the inards of your cab through the vents. I now use the AFE set up but left the scotty hole with the baffles in the cowl to cut down on the noise. This system has been out for many years.
more turbo music? i love it. is there anything i can do to the stock air box ,like cut a few holes in it to make more of that sweet turbo music? thanks carl
