HEY! It's Christmas Eve, some of us still have some shopping to do, so I'm going to try to save everyone some time. One of our better (and longer) synthetic oil debates occured just a couple of months ago and can be found at https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum3/HTML/001853.html
After those discussions, all the Synthetic users switched to petro, and all the petro users switched to synthetic. NOT!
But, at least everybody did leave still happy with what they were using, and secure in the knowledge that only their side knew the real truth! #ad

HC,
That was a good one! Thanks! As a Christmas present I will put all the Syn vs petro threads back to the top!
illflem needs the extra reading, and he really enjoys those threads. It relaxes him, as it does me! LOL #ad

Cummins Premium blue,,regular oil,,
over 900,000 kilometers in my 93,,not a single engine problem ever,,nothing,,nadda,,
and this thing worked hard everyday,,towing or pushing snow,,,when i sold it,,it was still going strong,,
Using Cummins oil in my 97 3500 4 X 4,,only about 200,000 km,,no problems.
I guess the regular oils aren`t that bad after all,,if you buy a good brand,,no the stuff you buy for . 99 a quart when you do your groceries...
Syntetics do have some advantages for sure,,i just don`t think my truck needs it,,
