Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) cold start

Hey, when I start my truck in the morning I have to push the troddle down a little. It fires right up but idles really low like 500 until it gets warm then its up to 750. Is there a sensor or relay that could be bad?

I have replaced the listed below do to a previous problem



supply line

return line

lift pump

fuel filter

and overflow valve

I wish I would have started with the overflow valve first!

what did you pay for the overflow valve?



they're $25 to your door. do a search for marty tompkins.



you just need to adjust your idle up to about 750 (in gear with the air on..... )

I paid 81. 00 for the overflow valve from dodge. Man I guess I got ripped off. It idles at 750 when it warms up but not with ac and in drive. I will try that Monday, Thank you

I adjusted my idle a little high for the winter here in MN. Mine is set at about 850. I occasionlly when it's cold still have to touch the throttle to get it to fire when it's cold. (10degrees and less)
