Cold Weather front options

one year I forgot to take the Lund cold front off my 98. I finaly noticed it in last June while towing. I noticed the temps would climb above 180. I thought I had a problem, then I remembered the cold front was still on. Also on the 2nd gen's I used to drill a 3/8" hole so the air would get through the cover to the outside temp pickup. not sure where the 3rd gen temp pickup is.

I just installed my Mopar cold weather kit. $160.

It also has heater blankets for the batteries,I installed them but will not plug them in unless its below O deg. The blanket looks very good (built as well).

I'm installing a 12 volt receptacle on the battery via a bumper cord (similar to the block heater cord setup), so that I can trickle charge the battery overnight. That should keep the battery warm and charge a little at the same time.



In 15 years I can move south and not worry about it.
