Cold Weather Option

Had the cold weather flash done yesterday. Did not plug the truck in last night. This morning it was 5 above 0 at 8350 feet. Engine did not go to fast idle or three cylinder operation. I give up. I'll bet one day this summer when it's 95 out side the engine will out of nowhere just race to 1200 rpm and sound funny. Any bets?

I was just reading another thread related to the cold weather reflash of the ECM. The other TDR member commented that the reflash needs to be installed AND THEN it must be enabled by whomever did the reflash. Supposedly the computer needs permission to run the code segment that permtains to the cold idle option.

I hope that you don't get the hot summer day and 1200 RPM. My truck is getting the reflash this AM. Had it not been for me doing all their research for them I don't think I would/will have an operational cold idle function. I even downloaded and printed step by step procdedures from the web so they would get it right the first time.
