This is my first time posting. So much info on this site I have usually found what I need, but this has me stumped. I have recently noticed with the cold weather my engine/turbo has been making a different sound when the engine is still cold. The sound starts when the turbo kicks in and sounds like pressured air being released making a more pronounced "air" whistle and not the normal turbo whistle. I can barely make out the spinning turbo sound. It becomes really loud when I really step on it, much louder than the normal turbo whine. Is this normal? It almost sounds like something leaking air and the forced out air/exhaust is making the whistle. My truck is stock except the KORE leveling kit and 35 BFG muds. It's the 325 HO 600 2004. 5. Thanks for your help. I figure it is worth getting opinions before wasting time at the dealership.
