Is Automatic Shutdown Relay same as Fuel Shutoff Solenoid Relay?

I usually Let the diesel 2500 and the 360 gas in the 1500 warm up about 5-10 minutes in really cold weather. Should this be done with the transmission in neutral . By putting the automatic transmission in neutral does the fluid circulate better than in park and therefore warm up the transmission a little also?

Thanks

Yes the fluid will circulate better in nuetral, really any idle time other than waiting for a light or something similar should be in nuetral. Five minutes is a long time to idle a cold diesel. You really should just drive off gently as soon as the oil pressure stabilizes if you don't have an exhuast brake to get the temps in the cylinders up high enough to burn all the fuel. The unburned fuel washes the oil from the cylinder walls and gets into the oil. It will also form deposits on the injectors. Keep idle time to a minimum when cold. My opinions, hope this helps.
