did you see the new Cobra?

Queen Mary 2 Quite possibly THE liner of its time RIGHT NOW

Well it looks like The BS BCS is winding down. How many people on here would like a real Playoff system for college football. I am so sick of the BS. Also does anyone know of a group out there that is organized and lobbying for it because I would like to join.

Nobody?

Nobody feels this way? Man I am ready to start marching and protesting. Never felt like protesting before but I'd do some protesting to get a college playoff system where any team could win it.

I'm with ya on the play offs. Get rid of the BCS BS! I honestly don't believe that it will ever happen though because the bowl people will loose too much money. I believe it would put an end to alot of the confusion. Either you win or go home!

I've always wanted the playoff format. Use the smaller bowl games for semi-finals working your way to the final bowl game. Division Champs get to go. i. e. big 10, sec, etc. etc. I know its much more complicated than that, but there is a better way.

The BCS is a load of horse poop. My alma mater (I did not major in spelling so if I spelled that wrong :p ) LSU has been ranked 3rd for a while although all the otehr polls ranked us 1st. It's bull. I'd much rather have a real playoff system anyday. Besides, it would give us more games to go tailgate at and drink. :D

Just think of all the "experts" on TV and radio that would have that much less to yak about if we had a playoff. Even though an in-state team has a reasonable chance of being in the BCS title game under the present system, I am strongly in favor of a playoff. The present system is awful in my view; computer rankings, quality wins and on and on. Why not just play it off. A few more weeks of football will not ruin the education of those few who would participate in a playoff. Last time I saw LSU play they looked like a team that deserved a shot at the championship game, but doubt they will have that opportunity under the present system.

I was very surprised to hear that Frank was let go. From what the Athletic Director talked about, it sounds like the direction that Frank was going wasn't quite the direction the director planned. I've got mixed feelings about it. I'm hoping that the husker fans will be ready for a rough ride the next couple of years.

Oh well - anyway, YES, a playoff system would be much better than this BCS stuff. I agree that there is too much money involved with the bowls and will take something else to get it go to a playoff system.

playoffs

Why is it that !-AA can do playoffs, and the "Big Boys " can`t? MONEY. The BCS has a lock on the name teams. Why should they care what we want? Boise State- 11 and 1- Ranked #17 Going Nowhere for a bowl game. Go figure. :-{}

Okay, I have to tell the truth. I am a LSU tiger Fan so I am feeling more strongle this year than others, but I think anyone of the top 16 teams ought to get the chance to line up and settle it on the field. GEAUX TIGAS, I bet the Tigas would spank USC but good!

And look who BSU beat to be 11-1 do the math. I think you guys are taking this college call thing a little far. They aren't being paid. . well aren't supposed to be... and the entire system just isn't setup for it. The game of football isn't like basketball... you can't expect a "school" to force players to play 24 games a season to determine how good they are.

But then again, the college world series, the march madness... football is getting the shotend of the stick... again because the system isn't setup for it, it's all about money. I really would like to see BSu play OU... that would be laughable to even think the talent level is somewhat close is ludicrous.

BCS

When the mid major schools finally get a good program going, they have only Token Bowls to attend. That was my point. As far as the idea of Big VS Small, I think we handled BYU ok- 50 to 12. Our only loss was to Oregon State- Blown call by a Pac 10 official helped, not caused the loss. I would like to get some of TCU. That would put two ranked small schools in a bowl matchup. BSU vs Oklahoma would be like Oklahoma vs an NFL team. We only been a 4 year school for like 30 years, We only been 1-A for 7 years after 25 in 1-AA, so wait a bit longer. I hope we do play them. I just want to be ready. DK.

Just which NFL team do you think would blow the Sooners out? Remember, the NFL has to deal with a salary cap! :D

I'd be willing to bet that OU would beat about 10 NFL teams... They have the coaching and players that actually care. As far as BSU proving themselves for beating BYU... c'mon you're kidding right? I've lived in Utah for the last 8 years and I can say the BYU loyalty around here is awfully strong, but in no way are they a "big" school. I grew up watching big 8 football... big 12 now. Now that is a traditional power house. BYU is horrible, U of U shut them out for the first time in like 35 years!!!

The only good team BSU played was Oregon State, and guess what... they lost. Ok an official blew the call and lost it for them .

Now I'm not taking anything away, but some times fans do get a litte... fanatical thinking they've got more than they have. I still think they have a developing program and if they continue to win and improve their schedule they will develop national recognition.

Anyways, it's just college ball...

We`re going Bowling!

RHickman, No offence taken here. I was just wondering who died & left the BCS in charge? When we were in 1-AA, I thought the playoffs were great. The top 16 teams went to the playoffs,& that pretty well settled it. If the 1-AA kids can handle 4 extra games, why can`t the bigger, better, stronger, "real" players ? Anyhow, due to the BCS going to take 2 BIG 12 teams, we get the game we wanted! #17 BSU vs #19 TCU. A good matchup of 2 mid major teams. I think i`m going to Ft. Worth for X-mas!Oo.

I agree I think the BSU TCU game will be an excellent show. I grew up and aggie fan and boy is that embarrassing to say this season. I think to upcoming teams like they are deserve a better shot, but TCU really got the shaft not winning their division, but hey that what the game is all about.

I do agree with you guys though, the system is faulted and the BCS is really getting laughed at this year... hopefully that will lead to change.

Yee-hawww Go FROGS!

Nowadays I'm more impressed by a TCU or BSU fighting tooth and nail and successfully competing, than by a UT-size program completely STUFFED with the top talent in the country spanking the monkey and still staying in the top 10 or 20. Hats off to TCU and BSU!Oo.

IMHO, I think LSU will have their hands full tommorow against a good Georgia team at Georgia. But if LSU manages to win, I believe they should be #2 and get a shot at OK. USC has a fine team, but their loss was to CAL which has a mediocre team, LSU's was to a good Florida team. The puters say USC has played a tougher schedule, but I don't buy that... when I look at their schedules, I think LSU has played a tougher schedule and plays in a tougher conf.
