did you see the new Cobra?

Queen Mary 2 Quite possibly THE liner of its time RIGHT NOW

Easy now, give credit where credit is due Pac 10 has DOMINATING fencing teams but put those boys on a football field and they are Candy A$$es all the way through hehehehehe.

"SEC is the strongest conference, hands down. "

- I don't think so. . I'd put a Big 10 team up against an SEC team anyday. I would love to see LSU match up against the Wolverines, or Ohio State and Tennessee... but ain't gonna happen this year. We know who is playing the #1 ranked team in the Rose Bowl though:D

(I get a chuckle out of that... for all of the BCS equations and such, they still get it wrong... . LSU should be playing USC for the National Title(they both won their conferences) and Oklahoma should be playing Michigan (UM = 10-2, OK didn't win their conference):D

Its about the conference as a whole the sec has Fla, LSU, Georgia,Auburn, Ala, Tenn those six teams would wipe out the big 10. I'll give you Michigan now they are a good team but Ohio state couldnt aint I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER they are going to get drilled by K State Purdue is a better team than them, Hey I wish the SEC would put our bottom 6 and add yalls top 3 and the big 12's top 3 and lets get after it baby

I can honestly say LSU dominated the playing field for every game except one. All of the other games were blowouts. We totally spanked every team we came up against. Now I totally agree that we should be playing USC, but then that would go against all logic of the BCS. Logical BCS..... almost as sensible as military intelligence. This is the exact reason we should eliminate the current system. There's no less than 20 bowl games and the Sugar Bowl is the biggie. Now I'm not a smart man, but it would seem to me that you would want to know who is the baddest s. o. b. on the block, and the only way to do that is by a playoff system.

GEAUX TIGERS!

Reb [><]

I am with you tiger! How many tickets have you gotten yet?I was born in Tha Baton Rouge General 5 years after our last championship and I'm ready for another one

Well, since the game is in New Orleans I am not going. I can't stand that town and try not to go there that often. Tickets are going for about $800 for the totally crappy corner at the top right corner of the dome. Instead I'll be watching the game on the big screen at home.

Alabama?! Didn't they lose to Hawaii? Auburn, are they even ranked? Tennessee was LUCKY to beat Kentucky, among other teams. To go through a Big 10 season, you are playing a Nationally ranked, top 25 team almost every week.

Strength of Schedule: (teams in the top 25)

Florida 5 Ohio State 7

Georgia 18 Michigan 14

LSU 29 Iowa 16

Tenn 46 Purdue 40

Miss 70 Minn 83

AVG 33. 6 32

Pretty damn close, with the edge to the Big 10. The SEC, Big 10, and the Big 12 are pretty much the top conferences (in football), any year, any conference can be the dominant conference... . but this is just recent history, look at college football from when it started... what conference is always on top? BIG 10:cool:

If you go back far enough then Yale and Harvard are powerhouses, The SEC was Tough back in the day also, how far back are you talking? Okay lets take the AP champs

40sMinn,Minn,OS,ND,Army,Army,ND,ND,Mich,ND

Man Notre Dame was dominant that Decade 4 National Champs

Yall had 3 National Champs and us none

50s OU,Tenn,MSU,Maryl,Ohio state,, OU, OU, Aub, LSU,Syracuse

Decade for Oklahoma 3 champs

Big 10 2 champos and SEC 3 Champs

60s Minn,Ala,USC,Texas,Ala,Ala,ND,USC,Ohio state

Decade team was Ala with 3

SEC 3 and Big 10 1

70s Neb,Neb, USC, ND, OU, OU, Pitt, ND, Ala, Ala

Big 12 won 4 of the 10

Sec 2 Big 10 0

80 UGA,Clemson,PennState,Miami,BYU,OU,Penn State,MiamiND,Miami,CU

Hey is Penn State in the Big 10 :)

okay SEC 1 Big 10 1

okay from the 40s to the 80s SEC got 9 Champs and yall got 7 pretty close.

But really I dont think that is the Measure of a conference, I mean look at the Big 12 for years they were OU and Neb and all they had to do was beat one team and win their bowl and they were in, Now they put some dominating teams on the field but would you call the big 12 a Tough conference?

Anyway I enjoyed looking at all those old champs, In Retrospect I think the Big 10 is a tough conference, But I stand by my statement that the Pac 10 is a bunch of Candy A$$es

Since you were bringing up Strength of Schedule check out this site http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/misc/schedule_rankings.php

It has ALL TIME Strength of Schedule and your Beloved Michigan is #1 the rest are Texas, Georgia, LSU, Auburn, Northwestern, Alabama, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Iowa. WOW! SEC has 4 Teams and Big 10 has 3, I think that shows that when it comes to Toughest conference we are just a little Tougher than yall but Hey look at SEC and Big 10 combined 7 of 10!!!!!!! Wow that means if your team aint in the SEC or Big 10 well you are just not running with the big Dogs! :)

You know whay would prove waht conference was the best?... ... ... ... ..... You Knew it was coming... ... ... . A PLAYOFF!!! PUT UP OR SHUT UP! LETS LINE UP ON THE FIELD AND RUMBLE! Till that day there will always be controversy, sigh

Good stats, but you missed 2 Big 10 National titles... Minn and Ohio State in the 60's and PennState twice in the 80's... . that makes 9 titles for the SEC and 9 titles for the Big 10 (40's thru 80's). If you go farther back Mich has 4 titles in the 00's, 1 in the 10's, 1 in the 20's, and 2 in the 30's.

-Agreed!

My wife and son are both native Tennessee, so you could imagine all of the stats that get thrown around at any family gathering. I pull for the SEC, just not when they play the Big 10!

Michigan has alot of alltime records... Most wins all time, most conference championships all time, best winning percentage all time, best strength of schedule all time... that's why they are the #1 college football program. Anyways, Go Tigers! Go Blue!

I'd like to see USC or OU go through the SEC or Big 10 conference and see where they shake out. Big 10 and SEC conference teams have the majority of the top programs... . including the #1 program MICHIGAN.

Did USC SPANK MICHIGAN ????, OR WHAT????????????????

Got that ass:cool:

The Big 10 has been getting whipped up on in the Bowl games... . but Ohio st. saved some face for them... .

Teams from Texas also have been embarrasing themselves!

Texas Teams Sucking Hind Teat!

Can't believe how pathetically flaccid Texas was in their bowl game.

Old Mack has drug the Horns through some pretty humiliating defeats in spite of his stadium full of blue chip superstars. Maybe he ought to get some red and white chips and take up poker.

Football

Just got home from the H-Bowl. Wow! Georgia Tech put a whuppin on Tulsa. GT looked ok, Tulsa was flat. Looked like a high school team. Until the last possession, they had NEGATIVE rushing yards. Beautiful weather, 30 degrees but clear and dry. On another note: Is Nutt foolish enough to take the Nebraska job? DK. :-{}

Mich. got buried by USC, the game was actually not as close as the 28-14 score... the Big 10 looked pretty bad in the bowls! Guess the Pac 10 was a little tougher than you all thought. Hats off to the ACC, MAC and WAC...

Geaux Tigas! Har har, they whupped up all over OU. After OU's tremendous flogging of Texas and Texas A&M earlier in the season, I was not too disappointed to see Mr. Stoops thumbing himself to defeat on the sidelines :D :D :D

The LSU guys played tough all night long, but I have to admit that by the 4th quarter I was beginning to wonder whether the OU QB had decided to throw the game. It was one of the worst QB performances I have seen in a big bowl, he missed so many passes in the clutch situations. Of course the amount of time he spent munching turf courtesy of the LSU rush may have had something to do with that too.
