Nobody knows. The dealers will find out when they get a FAX that says "Color xxx, Pupil-Piercing Blue is now available for order on Dodge Rams... . blah, blah, blah... " One thing I don't like is that most of the colors now available are earth-tones, or just lack flash/character. I REALLY wanted my '03 in Solar Yellow, but that color was killed in '01. Second choice was the Intense Blue that I had on my '00 1500 gasser, but that color was killed in '01 as well, even though it was quite popular during it's run from 98-01. Atlantic Blue didn't do anything for me, Patriot Blue was a little darker than I wanted, so I ended up with Flame Red. The days of the 999 paint code are long gone too, no colors other than what the factory offers. It wasn't all that long ago when a phone call to the manager of a particular plant would have a vehicle painted ANY color you wanted as long as he got a small "token of appreciation". Sadly he's retired, he didn't work at a truck plant and there are TOO many "layers" between the dealers & the plants these days to get anything "special".
Hey thats ok , but according to my sales rep, hes also a member of my local car club, he told me plum crazy, hemi orange, and top banna would be seen again, don't know about the rest of the high impact line.
The Oyster Point Dealership in my area has a couple of high impact color 1500's. The colors are almost neon like orange and green -- both with Hemi's. They look pretty cool if that sort of thing floats your boat. I have no idea if the color is aftermarket or not. This dealership has several unique ram paint schemes - some with ghost flames - some that start off as silver at the bottom and gradually work it way up to the roof as dark blue.
I don't care for the earthtones either. This will be my third black truck I have owned. With the chrome and aluminium trim it's tough to beat. Yes it's hard to keep clean, but it gets more positive comments than any other color I have owned.
