Column gear shifter noise

My new 2017 2500 CTD has about 2k miles on it and I am now getting a noise in the dash when I shift the column shifter from park into or through reverse into neutral or from drive through neutral and reverse into park. It doesn't happen all the time and seems to happen mostly if I hesitate moving the shifter through the gears. The noise happens around the reverse gear and sounds like a relay moving on and off repeatedly. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Looking for any possible info before I call my dealer. Thanks.

Mine does it too sometimes as well and as you mentioned it seems to only do it if I am not smooth with the shift. Sometimes it will clunk /click whatever several times. If you do talk with the dealer post up what they have to say as I am very curious myself about it.
