commercial insurance??? Bleeding wallet...

I have recently leased on with a local Hotshot trucking company in Northern Kentucky. We currently run under Progressive commerical insurance and I have bobtail coverage for personal use. We are thinking that we are paying way too much money for the entire policy. Who else out there is running commercial, and if you don't mind what is the insurance co. and rates???

We need 1 million liability and filing for about 27 states as well as cargo insurance. My policy alone is about 5 grand per year including cargo insurance.

There HAS to be something better!!!! PLEASE help. I'm going broke!!!

I checked with my agent not long ago about this and it was a little over 8 K per year. I am 43 with a good record. I wanted to do it in the summer while school is out. I couldn't make enough to pay the insurance much less make money.

I'm with Progressive too. Unfortunately that's about the best rate you can find.
