Sometimes you can adjust the siimmer or lowest setting. Pull the knob off the "D" shaped shaft and look down inside the shaft. You should see a flat headed adjustment. Take a thin screw driver and turn the screw in to decrease the flame intensity. This is one of the things I was eluding to regarding a proper LP conversion. When you go from nat to LP you will find the flame is much to large. The high setting is compensated for by changing the orifice. Or, if the orifice is adjustable you would tighten up the adjustment to decrease the volume of fuel entering the burner. That leaves the low setting still to high. Check for the adjustment I mentioned by pulling the knob off the top burner controls.
