How hard would it be to convert my truck to common rail?? Will the head bolt up to the older blocks, or would it require the entire engine? What about the electronics? Would it be that difficult?

I love my truck, I just hate the unreliability of the vp-44. I don't want a new truck.

Matt,

The Vp44 Is Actually A Good Injection Pump Its Only Real Downside Is Losing Its Life Blood ( Volume And Pressure From The Oem Lift Pump) Bobby Bosch Did There Homework On This One.

Forgive my horrible habit of forgetting people's names...

There's a well known sled pulling dude (who is also a politician - state representative?) who is putting a 3rd Gen (common rail) engine in his truck that used to have a P-Pumped ISB in it.

He's a heck of a nice guy... I met him a few times at Muncie. I'm REALLY sorry that I can't remember his name. I really have to stop sniffing model airplane glue...

That may be, but I have lost faith. My truck is worthless to me if I don't trust it. My pump has decided to give up a week before my annual elk hunting trip  .

Matt, think buddy think :D I'd like to get some details on that setup. Oh, and uhh, pass that glue this way when you're done.
