I got a dumb question :

I have never seen a Comonrail engine pump so im not shure , But i have been wondering If a person could convert it to mechanicle engine useing a cummins PT pump from a 855 CI cummins since the hook into a fuel rail so to speak . Any ideas i dont even know if it be practicle just have been curious its a cheap to get pump and they make gobs of power stock and deliver lots of fuel .

No. They are completely two different systems. The PT system is a low pressure common rail that ustilizes the cam via push rods to fire the injectors whereas the 5. 9L HPCR is a high pressure common rail utilizing electronically controlled high speed electric solenoids.
