Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Comp + 1.6's + HX-40PRO?

I am VERY new to adding any kind of power to my truck. I've been slowly "building" it with gauges, 4" exhaust, BHAF, and a DTT transmission in a few weeks. My original thought was to keep stock power but since I already had a COMP that I got a good deal on, I was wondering what adding some Mach 1. 6 injectors and an HX-40PRO would do?



Anyone running this setup? I am very concerned about reliability and drivability. I would GREATLY appreciate the wisdom of this group regarding this setup.

Nothing wrong with the 40, but I would probably look at an s300 hybrid(HTB2, Phat Shaft)

I have the Comp and 1. 6's, and judging by the volume of smoke I can generate, more boost would certainly improve efficiency...

The HX-40 is old. The new Big S300 hybrids are the way to go now.

That would be a good combo, very drivable. But you will need to upgrade the transmission. .

Don't go too small with the sticks. If I could do it over I'd jump right to the 4s (keeping the go pedal in check while monitoring the egts) as I save $$$ for the turbo. Now I'm saving for the 4s "and" the turbo. - MHO
