i was thinking the other day if there was one out there or if u could make a comp box or flip a switch that puts a resister in the pump wire to reduces the voltage going to the pump. The reason being, is that when u run huge injectors, even with the box off the truck still smokes. I have dd 2's and it smokes a little, i can't imagine running BD v's and not getting pulled over in the good ole state of California. Just a thought, maybe somebody has tried this or has been thinking of the same idea, ... . thanx, reb

What you need to do is change the sub-levels of your box.

This will put a delay for fueling so you don't smoke (as much ;) )

They say if you put your box on 1 with a sub level on 1 it is less fueling then stock. This will help reduce smoke and also help pass emissions (if your state requires that, like mine :( )

no, i'm not talking about the box being on, its when i have the box off the truck will still smoke a little. I really don't have a problem now, but if i were to put on, dd sm, or bd v's, or bd iv's, then i'm sure i would smoke... ... with the box off. I'm not worried about the box on, i want it to smoke then, but if i were to install huge injectors, i would like to drive by the cop without clouding his lungs full of diesel smoke, lol.

rebsram, if you do want bigger injectors with less smoke with a fueling box turned OFF then you NEED a PE Comp box turned ON and set to Level 1 Sub 1 to cut the fueling to LESS THAN STOCK (not shouting just emphasizing) :) . . . like Mactruck was aluding to

At May Madness, TST said they plan to release a PowerMax with this kind of program in it. Low-numbered levels could have varying amounts of fueling lower than stock (the current zero level, or box-off level).

Thanx guys, sometimes it takes a little shouting to get things into my thick skull, lol. i'll call mark @ tst and see if he can add a below stock fueler to my comp box. Thanx again, reb
