Yeah, they are now selling ULSD to cut down on smoke. You have to stop smoking, it is not good for you!!!!!

SNOKING

I followed the directions as close as possible. the power is there, defenitly there, got more boost and egt, just have the same low boost smoke as before and then it cleares up.

I diddnt think the lil hy would clear it up that well. Ive got a low fuel pressure light but havent put a guage on it yet. so supposably im getting enough fuel. Im thinking the ddI's have a better spray angle and burn cleaner in turn cleaning up the comp smoke? just doesent seem right a hy35 clearing up 160ish horsepower worth of fuel and timing.

I definantly could make smoke, sound like the tap is on the wrong wire, you did the one the closest to the engine right?

something is wrong..... if you put it on 5x5 it should smoke !!!

you should also see a extra 5-8 psi of boost and you will feel a BIG difference in power

check all or your grounds (ground it to the battery) and make sure you tapped the right wire.

How's your egts? You should see a couple hundred degrees difference between 1x5 and 5x5. That'll tell you if the tap is making contact.

Tapped the wire closest to the block, I can hit 1400 5x5 running long and hard, gained 5-6 psi boost, peaks at 32 then drops to 27, like Ive said before got lots of power, and real good low boost smoke, but its not even a haze during the daytime. Im guessing the small injectors help clean the smoke up a lot, guess Ill have to try the two stroke oil to smoke the hippies. :D

if I tapped the wrong wire would I gain more power or would it stay the same as an ez.

Yep everyone except level 5. the sublevels stay the same as level 4. but the low boost smoke is real good, it clears up though. maybe I got a hotrod hy9 and dont know it

I also have the Edge Comp with stock injectors and stock turbo (2000 model truck). I have very little smoke also, if I step down on it hard at low RPM's it'll barely put out a little puff then clear right up. It's DEFINITELY got a ton more power though, especially on 5X5 so I know it's working, but I too would like to be able to make more smoke if I wanted to. :) Maybe I need bigger injectors? Any recommendations on an otherwise basically stock truck?

What would that have to do with anything I said? The truck runs great and I can feel a very noticable difference in 5X5 compared to say 3X5 so I know the box is working, I just don't get much smoke at all, and the transmission isn't slipping.

? I have EDM Mach 2s and EZ on jumper no. 1. I like the way it drives now, but I had it on number 3 and had more power and smoke, but it was real jumpy. If I get the comp and tap the wire could I run like the EZ on number 1 or even lesser power on 1x1 without the jumpy and get better mileage like EZ on number 1 or maybe stock but then have the power when going to 5x5?

yea you definitely could, the adjustability is one of the best features of the comp, i have run the TST PM3, an EZ, and now a comp and hands down the comp is best for dialing in a specific way you want your truck to run
