how ignorant. These Ford guys commonly state stuff like, "i bought a Ford because it's the best. It just IS" Whatever.

I am glad that these folks enjoy the PSDs, but most popular does NOT mean better.

Submitted my reply over there.

Basically, I love my Cummins, but it's too bad it's wrapped up in a Dodge!

Sorry to hear that, roadranger. What would you rather have? I've spent about 1M miles in big rigs (Freightliner, Perterbilt, you name it) and I find the esthetics of the Dodge as good as any of them.

If you've woken up in a truck stop at 4am, gone in to get your coffee and do your business, and come out looking for your truck, you will know the pride and comfort you feel when you see her sitting perfectly parked and warm and waiting for you - another 600 miles to go for the next stop!

That's the feeling I get from my Dodge, the same aesthetic, the same quality, the same warm feeling when I climb in.

Just my $0. 02

I've driven over 500K in Dodges since 1996. 300K on 96, 200K on 2000, and 32+K on 2003. I've pulled with both the other brands, and I definately would "NOT" change brands!! I bought my 1st Dodge in 1987,(gasser 4X4) and have been happy with them all. JMO of course.

Very well put DNelson, another test is -- have you ever parked your truck, and walked away from it without looking back and thinking damn thats a good looking truck. I am lucky!

I didn't think so.

Well I have MABurns, and have been told that by many big rig drivers and others while driving down the road!!!

I'm just not happy with DC's poor engineering of the truck itself--

for instance, they can't get a lift pump to run right,

the steering wander problem,

the death wobble problem,

the 6 spd gear clash,

the 5 spd 5th gear nut problem,

the weak auto trans,

the cheapened ECM they use for the Cummins,

the poor brakes problem,

shall I go on?

Sure, they look good, but why do owners have to sink a LOT of $$$ into their trucks to correct DC's design deficiencies?

I too spent 24 years herding 18 wheelers, and I've noticed that the Dodge pickup is virtually non existant in commercial fleets of that sized vechicle. And it ain't because of the pricing, either.
