Comparison Drive....... Dodge & Ford-results..
This should be interesting. Eric from AFe came over and picked up my truck tonight, they are going to use it to make some adjustments on their 04' intake kit. It seems that the new 04' configueration is different from the 03' that they designed their intake for. With the new dimensions, all the intakes for the 3rd gens will be the same again.
So, to give me something to drive, he dropped off the AFe shop truck, a 03' Powerstroke with the 6. 0 liter engine. It looks like I will get to compare just how a Ford stacks up against an 04. 5 Dodge! The Ford is a 2500 SRW short box with an auto, but I'm curious how the "driveability" is with the Ford. The Ford is bombed, with an Edge and intake and exhaust systems, so the performance will not be the same.
I've always been kind of curious, cuz I was a Ford gasser driver for about 20 years, and honestly I never had any major problems with them. However, my last 4 trucks have been Dodges, and three of them were Diesels. Just putting the Ford in the garage felt "funny".
Tomorrow will be interesting... ... ... ..... Sarge
