Hi guys Does anyone have any pictures of the internal parts of the cummins ford chevy engines? I saw a picture a while a go showing the difference in the connecting rods between the three engines. Be nice to see the same today

Thanks

Ok, but keep in mind that to produce the same torque and hp, an 8 cylinder only needs to produce 75% of the power in each cylinder as a 6 cylinder. So, take a scale, and if the ford rod weighs 75% as much, it is equally strong for what it needs to do. And if you wanted a single cylinder engine, it would need a huge rod.....

b. t. s. thats a good observation, although you also have that many more moving/non-moving parts. I believe some tug boats are in line 4 cyl. with like 2 foot diameter pistons. To me strenght isnt really an issue, its rotational mass, less parts are good.

Pretty sure the first photo is a photoshop job, it's been discussed more than once. Originally it was labeled as Cummins vs. 7. 3L powerstroke vs. GM 6. 5L.

The second pic is legit though, showing a 3rd Gen Cummins rod. You'll notice its design was changed over the 24V rod shown in the first photo.
