My dealer told me that the mopar molded mud flap/splash guards on the front wheels will not work with "molded steps or side steps". Is this also true for Westin step bars? Has anyone tried this? Will they work together on the front? Thanks for the input

P. S. My step bars are the CPS Platinum series, stainless steel and the truck is a 2001. 5 2500 4x4 quad cab if it helps.

The Westin tube steps, at least the ones I have/had on my truck, do not interfere with the molded flaps. The MOPAR steps, protrude into the front wheelwell, they use the clip just behind the front wheelwell to help secure their steps.

I have the Mopar molded flaps on the front of my truck, and Westin's black nerf bars (is that the same as the step bars?) and they fit just fine. They look good too.

RobG - Nice WEB pages of a NICE silver 3500 and Lance Camper setup! (How many 3500's do you have anyway?) I assume you traded in the earlier white one for the new silver 3500. Very well done. Looks like those shots were done before the mud flaps. Can you post a close-up picture of the front mud flaps and the Westins'? I too would be interested in the set-up.

P. S. To see Rob's pictures, click on "profile" and then the link to his WEB site. Didn't want to confuse anyone by describing pictures that are not in the thread. Didn't mean to mess with anybody's mind.

I put the molded mudflaps from Dodge on myself and then got my westin bars and had them line-x'd to match the bed and everything works just fine. Loads of clearance between them. :D
