Compatible Parts from Salvage 2000

Would a salvage 2000 DODGE RAM 2500 w/ NV4500 be a suitable donor for the 94-97 trucks?

Related interior trim panels will be different, floor shifter bezel, steering column trim, od button, odometer. PCM different, under hood accelerator hardware different. Possibly a few other odds and ends.

Yes and 4x4.

Body parts will interchange. Front bumper brackets will work, but you’ll need to re-drill one hole. I can’t remember, but the grille may not fit your hood without drilling some holes. Lights will interchange. transmission and pedals will interchange. Pretty much anything engine related will not interchange. Wiring and connectors will also be different. As mentioned, the interior will be different, too. Wheels and tires will work. The front axle and brakes MAY be a bit different, I can’t remember.

The drivetrain was the main interest. The salvage vehicle had a head on collision.

I’d thoroughly inspect the transfer case and driveshafts. These items are often damaged in heavy impact head on collisions.
