Fluidampr fiasco.....anyone elce ??

Lift Pump 12V vs 24 V

I know someone that has a 'take off' they want to get rid of. I know this is not for us, but isn't there an application for the HY9 for mod'd gas motors of some flavor? Thought I read somewhere.

do you mean the HY35's with the 9cm housing? If so, yes they are awesome turbos on gas motors. Spools as fast as lightning. :D

We have my old turbo off of my 3rd gen on a sbc . :D

I have one I plan on using on my VW TDI as a big turbo ion a set of twins... . . I hope you guys don't ruin the market on these turbos. . :)

you have been able to sell em fro about $300 . . thats not to bad . . if you want more $ i think people will go other routes. . i picked mine up for $300 and soem times I've seen em free or REAL CHEAP. .

some snowmobile guys had used some a while back for hillclimbers or drag sleds. .

thanks

I had two listed in the classifieds a while back. Both of them were snatched up up by ricer boys within a week. One of them told me his goal was 500hp and 25psi. I have to admit I wouldnt have thought that possible (I also have never really thought about it) but I know next to nothing about ricers and their engines. The other guy was putting it on some type of Nissan I think he said.

I've got 2 of those suckers... possibly planning on putting them on my 360 in the power wagon if I cant find a cummins...

aaaaah ... thanks

they must be turning some rpm!

you'd be surprised... not really that much... most guys turn 6500 or less... the biggest thing about the Holsets is that they're really efficient at high (for a gas engine) pressure ratios... a Garrett of that size would be off the map at 30psi, but the Holset is right at home.

they're a little laggy obviously, but nothing a good converter and or some nitrous can't overcome. they're still very drivable.

the little 2. 3 pinto motor suffers from the same thing our Cummins does... lack of cylinder head flow!!! so they love high pressure turbos :)
