Compression brake on 5.9?

Does anyone know if a compression engine brake (as opposed to an exhaust brake) was ever designed for the 5. 9L engine... . or if a compression brake could even be fitted to an existing highway-use 5. 9?

As far as I've read, no true compression ("Jake") brake has ever been offered on a 5. 9 series engine.
