When I try to read a post all these things like menus from teh website come up. It starts up at teh top and goes all the way down. I have tried to click on it but it won't go away. I can't read the first post of a thread because it is covered up by this menu thing. Can someone help me please?

I did refresh with no luck. Steve, I asked wifey and she said we use microsoft excel. Been doing this since the change on the website a while back but I guess I am getting cranky and getting tired of the hassle.

Trouble shooting questions-

This has been going on since the change on the website, right?

Are you using a current version of Internet Explorer or Netscape? Look for a blue 'e' or a blue and white 'N' in the top corners of the screen. Click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer or About Netscape. The current version for IE is 6. x and Netscape is 7. x. Old versions mean you should update. It's free, but can take a bit of time if you are on a dial up connection. It's worth the time.

Did you change settings in the Internet Options box? That's where you go to delete temporary internet files and to delete stored offline content. You should NOT need to clear your history, delete cookies, clear forms or delete stored passwords- leave those alone for now.

Have you tried cleaning out your cache by deleting the temporary internet files? Don't forget to delete stored off line content, too. Don't panic if you look and you haven't deleted every single file, some don't go away at first. It isn't a problem. Deleting can take some time to get rid of all the files, don't rush it. If the computer gets stuck, you might have to reboot and try again. Stuck means no progress for 3 minutes. The gray bar gets no more sections.

Have you tried holding down the shift button at the same time you click on the refresh button? (old trick, not always useful, but won't break anything. )

Are any other websites acting funny?

Have you run any anti-spyware applications, like Pest Patrol, or checked your computer for viruses using something like Norton Anti-Virus?

Have you done a right click on your hard drive in My Computer to find out if you have empty space available on the drive? 20% free is fine, 2% free is not good, even if you have a really big drive. Getting rid of Temporary Internet files is a good start to freeing up some space. They will come back on their own, you won't miss them.

If you try something here and it works, let me know you're back up and running again. If you think that something might be broken or infected with a virus, let me know. More instructions will follow. If desperate, PM me with a phone number and I'll try to talk you through some fixit steps, if Steve hasn't already helped you get things straight.
