GIANT Power Wagon!

A gift that gives and lasts forever

"Boss" couldn't open e-mails on aol. Took laptop to "expert" and he said we had Windows 6 and he would have to install Windows 7 for her to open e-mails. He installed it and now she can open e-mails:D:. Problem----now I can't increase the size of the text on the web sites I visit. The print is so small I can barely read it. Took computer back and "expert" said that is the trade off. He said that the web sites have not done something to their site to allow people to increase the size of the text. You can zoom but that enlarges the whole window. Question---is the "expert" right or is he blowing smoke up my------ Damn machines!!!

Time for a big fart.

1. There is no such thing as windows 6. But there is now a windows 7. He may have said Internet Explorer 6 but they are up to internet explorer 8 now.

2. for the print size. Go to view on the top bar and select print size.

That should fix your problem.

It may have been explorer 7 he installed and we had 6. I don't know-the boss took the computer to him. I tried the view thing and the size text did not change?????

Fixed it.

Go to tools on the top bar, then internet options. Click on the accessibility button on the bottom left. There are three check boxes near the top of the window. Click the bottom one about Ignoring font sizes and then go to view - text size and select the one that works for you.

Get a Mac, donate the PC, worries over. was PC user since dos cursor, always something screwed up. got a Macbook Pro last year, took it out of the box and fired it up without reading the manual (still have not read the manual) and the thing just works. no anti-virus software no more blue screens of death, nothing. best decision I have ever made regarding computers. my 02. worth
