4x4 ATV Opinions

I will try to make this as short as possible.

I have a cabin in a rural area. I would like to install outdoor cameras and be able to view them from my home. I do have a phone line at the cabin but I would not be able to leave a computer on-line all the time.

I am on a cable modem at home.

Would I be able to dial up a remote computer on the Internet from home to the cabin and be able to view the cameras?

Would appreciate any help.

remote management

Check your PMs, I sent a lengthy response.

Yes, it's possible. Leave the cabin computer on 24/7 and only dial up to send pictures every so often. With your cable modem, the cabin computer can always talk to your home machine. Make sure the cabin computer can get through your firewall at home.

Possibly you could use one of those remote access tools while the cabin computer is connected. You know, 'access your PC from anywhere!' Or you could just ftp files around.

It can be done.
