After i recieve my transmission from DTT, (in a week or so) i heared of something about reflashing the computer or else it will not start? is this true? if so how do i do it thnx guys

Juast would like to let everyone know here at tdr that i really think this website is the best, i cant keep myslf away from the computer now hehe oh well, i have learned alot, as i still am learning every day thanks to everyone for making this a great website. Regards

Welcome to TDR.

A 12 valve reflash won't do much. I had mine done to update the upshift but it didn't help prevent TC lock at 43 mph.

Different year trucks have different trans controls, what year is your truck? (Set up your signature. )

sorry, Still workin on my Signature, It is a 97 12 valve 4x4 extra cab long bed, auto 4:10 differentials, but i just would like to know as right now my transmission is out, and truck will not even start to crank when turn key, and the od button and the trans emp light is on, so im guessing once i plug in the sensors to the appropriate wires they will either 1 go back to normal or 2 have to do a "reflash"? im not sure So what do others do once they have put the transmittion back in? any help would be gladly appriciated thnx Regards

Smokey I doubt you will need to do a re flash. I took mine to DTT and had the transmission rebuilt and new TC. Everything works fine and no re flash was even considered. Your going to like the results from the transmission. Hope the TC is in the works to take full advantage of the mods.

yes er eee

yup i got everything dtt had to offer including kryogenic input and output shafts :) I am really excited for it to get here. Anything can be better than what i had it slipped at 60 hahaha thnx guys
