Gonna get the RAID board, but not going to use it for a while (the RAID part), until I get "bored" with it. I have a brand new in the box never opened 45 Gig Maxtor 7200RPM ata100 sitting here, no sense in no using it :D Plus it will say a couple of bucks.

No I have my descion down to the video card. Radeon 8500 or the NVedia Geforce³ Ti 500

How come? Just curious, I have had all intel up until now, I wanna see what the deal is with AMD. Plus everything I have read or seen shows a XP 1900+ out pacing a P4 2Ghz..... and the XP is only 1. 6ghz clock speed.

Now its jsut a matter of getting all the parts and piecing it together, I am pretty much "set" on what I am getting.

Did I mention I hate waiting?? :D

Another board to look at..

I don't know if anyone here is using one, but the soyo k7-v dragon plus seems to be a pretty nice board, with onboard sound which is as good as a sb-live. This one is getting serious attention from me. Still trying to choose between the abit and the soyo, although the soyo is 35 bucks cheaper plus the lack of need for a sound card are making it real attractive.

I'm partial to teh Abit boards..... had three of them so far with great success.

I really really would like to see this system together NOW..... but I know realisticlly it will be sometime in Jan before I can do it.
