For those of you who make digital videos for download... What do you use? I mean, the ones converted from regular video, not taken with a digital camera and just downloaded.

I'm curious about what you use to convert from analog to digital...

KInd of an answer for you PW....

I use a Pinnacle Studio 400 to capture stills off my Sony Handicam... but I've never made a movie from it. It apparently (just looking at the help file now) can export a file in . avi format! It plugs into the parallel port between the printer and the computer and comes with its own proprietary software. I don't keep mine plugged in fulltime anymore-it has a tendency to "interrupt" long printing sessions-mainly with graphics programs-which gets annoying after a while. I know when I bought this one they had a model above it called Studio 800-not sure what extra it had over this. But they do make something now called StudioDV that apparently lets you burn your own DVD's-I'm assuming you have to have a DVD burner for that though  ...

They've got a website at www.pinnaclesys.com . Maybe worth you checking out?
