I put the new crank sensor in today, and everything works just fine. It took 40 minutes to do the job, including cleaning my hands. Wasn't bad at all, I thought I remembered someone saying it was a bear.
What I learned:
Crank sensor is important and it seems that no one stocks it.
You can drive around as much as you want without the pcm hooked up. Just need a battery charger.
If the computer wont turn on, disconnect the crank sensor, if the sensor is bad the computer will turn on.
Thanks for all the help and advise. It was very helpful and much appreciated.
A bad crank sensor doesn't put a code on the computer, at least not this time.
